Should I put my aquarium on carpeted floors?Updated 2 years ago

While you can set up your aquarium on carpeted floors, it is not recommended.

Carpeted floors may not be solid or level underneath the carpet and after additional weight is added due to rock and water, leveling of your Waterbox may be difficult. The additional weight of the rock and water may also cause the cabinet base to sink down into the carpet and disrupt your ease of opening and closing cabinet doors.

The best placement for your aquarium will be on solid floors that are already level and without carpet.

If you cannot set up your aquarium on an area that is not carpeted, please consider purchasing a piece of plywood to place underneath to level out and support the cabinet as much as possible.
