Cabinet is swaying, or not sturdyUpdated 11 days ago

The movement indicates that somewhere the bolts are not catching inside the frame or are not fully tightened.

We would suggest taking the aquarium off the cabinet to isolate which section is allowing the flex of the cabinet. This will help you locate the issue. If the aquarium is not on the cabinet and you push the cabinet frame in different directions, you should be able to tell where the movement is allowed. This will tell you which parts of the frame are not secure and where the hardware needs to be reinstalled or tightened.

A few things to check on the cabinet when getting movement are these little screws on the L-brackets. Make sure to check the ones that were preinstalled as well.

Also, make sure to check the tightness of all the t-bolts on the cabinet, even the underside and the ones that were preinstalled upon arrival on the frame and panels.

We find these things are often overlooked and can cause this movement.

It is important to keep in mind that any aquarium will move if pushed hard enough as the water is quite heavy and top heavy, which can be seen in water movement if forcefully pushed. However it quickly stabilizes and does not continue which is the most important aspect. However all Waterbox Aquariums cabinets have been put through rigorous testing to ensure safety tolerances in both vertical and horizontal strength.

If you double-checked the hardware and you are still experiencing sway/wobble, please send over a video of the issue and a photo of the silver serial number sticker on the inside of your cabinet to [email protected], and our Customer Support team will assist you further.
